Parking Ticket Payment

Parking tickets can be paid online or at the Tax Office, 1st Floor, City Hall, 40 East Market Street, Monday through Friday, 8:00 AM to 4:30 PM.

Payments can also be mailed to the Tax Office, 1st Floor, City Hall, 40 East Market Street, Wilkes-Barre, PA 18711. The postmarked date will serve as the date recieved. 

Accepted forms of payment for in person/by mail payments:
  • Cash
  • Check (made payable to the City of Wilkes-Barre)
  • Money Order (made payable to the City of Wilkes-Barre)

  • NO credit/debit cards accepted

Parking Ticket Appeals

An appeal to the decision on a contested parking ticket requires a $5.00 non-refundable filing fee due at the time of the appeal. A check or money order can be mailed to the address below. Cash, check or money order can be paid in the Tax Office, 1st Floor, City Hall. Note: Appeals will not be accepted if made after 30 days of the day of issuance of the parking ticket.

Return the form to the Parking Ticket office located within the Tax Office, 1st Floor, City Hall.

Late Fees will NOT accumulate during the review process.

Report a Broken Meter

If you encounter an inoperable parking meter, immediately report the meter number (three digit number on the front face of the meter) call 570.208.4232.

All claims of a broken meter will be promptly investigated and verified.
Any tickets issued in a parking space with a verified broken meter will be dismissed upon appeal.
