Fuel Oil Procurement
The City of Wilkes-Barre will receive bids for the procurement of Fuel Oil at the office of the City Clerk, Room 41, City Hall, Wilkes-Barre, PA 18711 until 10:30 a.m. local time, Wednesday, December 11 , 2019, and they will be opened and publicly read aloud at 11:00 a.m. local time Wednesday December 11, 2019. The bid submission deadline will be strictly enforced. Any bid received after the deadline will not be opened.

Bid envelopes must be plainly marked with the name of Fuel Oil Proposal. Contract Documents, including Technical Specifications, may be obtained at the Office of the City Clerk on the fourth floor, City Hall, City of Wilkes-Barre. Bid Security in an amount equal to five (5%) percent of the total bid shall be submitted with each bid, in accordance with the "Instructions To Bidders".
The contractor must ensure that employees and applicants for employment are not discriminated against because of their race, age, color, religion, sex, national origin, handicap or family status, and to the greatest extent feasible, utilize project area businesses located in or owned in substantial part by project area residents.
The City of Wilkes-Barre reserves the right to reject any or all bids or to waive informalities in the bidding when doing so in the best interest of the City.
The City of Wilkes-Barre encourages minority owned firms, women's business enterprises, and or labor surplus area firms to submit bids.
Bids may be held by the City of Wilkes-Barre for a period not to exceed sixty (60) days from the opening of bids for the purpose of reviewing the bids, prior to awarding the Contract. In this period of time, no bidder may withdraw their bids.
