Work on Solomon Creek Wall to Affect Parking and Traffic

Contractor Don E. Bower, Inc. will begin sanitary sewer relocation work, as part of the Solomon Creek Wall project, on Monday, October 29th. The work requires parking restrictions and road closures.

There will be no parking on South Franklin Street from Division Street to Brook Street. Vehicles should be removed from the street by 6:00 AM Monday, October 29th, as work will begin promptly at 7:00 AM. “No Parking” signs will be posted and vehicles in violation will be towed. Temporary “no parking” remains in effect until further notice.

Additionally, “Road Closed” signs will be posted. The signs will alert travelers to the closure of Brook Street and of South Franklin Street between Gregory and Brook Streets.

Updated parking restrictions and road closures will be released as the project progresses. It is recommended to avoid this area as traffic delays are expected.

Out of consideration for residents, the contractor’s crew will work 10-12 hours days to help expediate the completion of the sanitary sewer relocation work.
