Wilkes-Barre City Reminds Residents of Memorial Day Collection Schedule; DPW Summer Hours

City Hall will be closed and there will be no DPW services on Memorial Day, Monday, May 31st, 2021. There will be no garbage, recycling, or yard waste collection on Monday, May 31st for residents in Downtown & South Wilkes-Barre 1 neighborhoods.
Paper & Cardboard Recycling, Garbage, and Yard Waste Collection for Downtown & South Wilkes-Barre 1 resumes on Tuesday, June 1st.
Additionally, on Tuesday, June 1st , Wilkes-Barre’s Department of Public Works (DPW) will begin their summer hours of 6:00 AM to 2:30 PM, and will continue through Tuesday, September 7th. Garbage, recycling, and yard waste collection must be placed curbside by 6:00 AM, on your collection day, during summer hours.
