New Year’s Day (Observed) Holiday Collection Schedule

Wilkes-Barre Mayor George C. Brown has announced the curbside collection schedule for the upcoming holiday of New Year’s Day (observed).

City Hall will be closed and there will be no curbside collections on Monday, January 2, 2023, in observance of New Year's Day.

Residents in the South Wilkes-Barre 1 and Downtown neighborhoods will have their garbage and cans, bottles, and plastic recycling picked up on Tuesday, January 3, 2023.

Additionally, due to the inclement weather and high winds last Friday, December 23^rd residents in the East End, Parsons, and Miners Mills neighborhoods will have a double collection of plastic, cans, and glass bottle recycling and cardboard and paper recycling on Friday, December 30^th.
