Mayor George C. Brown Shares Progress on Laurel Run Creek Channel Wall Restoration Project at Kresge Street

Mayor George C. Brown is pleased to share the progress made on the Laurel Run Creek channel wall restoration at Kresge Street. The work on the site includes maintenance and protection of traffic, excavation, demolition, and removal of the collapsed wall, as well as removal of unsuitable material from the work area. Work also includes  installation of a coffer dam (utilizing sandbags) as stream diversion and rebuilding and replacement of the section of concrete wall to conform with historical requirements. The project also includes backfill, replacement of pave, curb, and tree lawn, and support of all utilities, storm and sanitary during construction. The completion of the project will include removing the coffer dam and restoring the work site.
