City to Launch Owner-Occupied Housing Rehabilitation Program

Mayor Anthony G. George is pleased to announce that the Office of Economic & Community Development will be launching a comprehensive Owner-Occupied Housing Rehabilitation Program. Funding is provided by Housing & Urban Development (HUD) through the HOME Investment Partnership Program.

This program is designed to assist income eligible homeowners to remain in their homes and reduce blight, by addressing code issues such as, upgrading electrical systems, faulty heating, handicap accessibility, plumbing systems, faulty roofs, and porches.

Please thoroughly complete pre-application, as incomplete pre-applications will be rejected. Pre-applications will be accepted at the Office of Economic & Community Development, 3rd Floor, 40 East Market Street, Wilkes-Barre, PA 18711.
