WBPD Participates in National Police Week

The Wilkes-Barre City Police Department Gerard Dessoye Honor Guard participated in the National Law Enforcement Candle Light Vigil in Washington, D.C. and stood watch at Law Enforcement Officers Memorial this past weekend. Commander Foy, Partolmen Benson, Novackowski, Oliver, Polemitis and S. Smith represented the department and city.
On Friday, May 18, 2018 at 12:00pm, the Wilkes-Barre City Police Department will hold their annual Police Memorial Ceremony at the Wilkes-Barre City Police Headquarters. Judge Correale Stevens will be the guest speaker. The public is invited to attend to honor officers who have committed their lives to service.
