Community Relations Event Request

The Wilkes-Barre City Police Department's Community Relations division participates in many community events around the city. We feel this helps strengthen our relationship with the citizens, students, and businesses in the community. Below are the activities we can perform when requested for an event:

  • Cruiser Show and Tell - An officer will bring his/her cruiser and allow school children to explore the inside, ask questions and take pictures.
  • Safety Talk - A Wilkes-Barre City Police Officer will give a presentation on current safety issues and give tips on how to stay safe.
  • Station Tour - A Wilkes-Barre City Police Officer will give a tour of the Wilkes-Barre City Police Department to student groups and other organizations.
  • Informational - An officer can be present at your community event to pass out informational flyers and answer questions on our various programs.
  • Recruitment - If your school or organization is hosting a career fair or you would just like someone to speak about our field, an officer can give a presentation on how to become a Wilkes-Barre City Police Officer.

This list is not exclusive, and officers can speak on a variety of topics. All requests for public appearances, station tours, or other community requests require no less than 2 weeks' notice. To apply, complete the form below. Once the request is received, it will be processed, and a member of the Wilkes-Barre City Police Department will contact you to confirm if we are able to attend the event one to two weeks prior to the date requested. For more information, please call the Community Policing Office at 570.208.6672.

By requesting a public appearance with the Wilkes-Barre City Police Department,
you agree to allow publication of photos taken during the appearance of all participants,
unless you notify us in writing at the time of your request.
