Wilkes-Barre Participates in Great American Cleanup of PA

2019 Great American Cleanup

Mayor Tony George is proud to announce that the City of Wilkes-Barre will again participate in the Great American Cleanup of PA.

The annual clean-up event is Saturday, May 18, 2019.

To register to participate in the cleanup, groups can register online by downloading the registration form from the website: www.wilkes-barre.city/special-events/city-sponsored-events/pages/great-american-cleanup-pa  and emailing it to Special Events Coordinator Patty Hughes. The form can also be mailed to:

Groups are asked to provide:

  • Group Leader's name, address, and phone number
  • Expected number of volunteers for each group
  • Cleanup Site and Collection Pick Up Site

Registered groups will be provided with adequate garbage bags and gloves. Post-clean up garbage pickup will be coordinated during registration.

If you are unable to participate on May 18th, cleanups can still be organized during Pick It Up PA Days, from Saturday, April 13th through Monday, May 6th.
