Wilkes-Barre Mayor Presents Check to Northeastern Pennsylvania Philharmonic

Wilkes-Barre Mayor George C. Brown recently presented an $7,500 check, funded by the American Rescue Plan, to the Northeastern Pennsylvania Philharmonic.

The Northeastern Pennsylvania Philharmonic is the only professional symphony orchestra in the region. The NEPA Philharmonic performs Masterworks, Pops, Holiday, Chamber, and Young People’s concerts as well as free July 3rd and 4th concerts.  The orchestra’s Music in our Schools and the Philharmonic’s juried mentoring program enhance and enrich the lives of our elementary and secondary students from all parts of Northeastern Pennsylvania.
