Wilkes-Barre City Reminds Community Survey

Mayor George C. Brown reminds residents and visitors of the Wilkes-Barre City Office of Economic and Community Development’s 2020 Community Survey.

The survey will be closing soon, as the City of Wilkes-Barre's Office of Economic & Community Development will soon prepare their 2020 Action Plan as required by the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development. The City is also developing its 2020-2024 Five-Year Consolidated Plan.

These plans help to address the most pressing housing and community development needs in Wilkes-Barre and strategies to address those priority needs, as identified by the community.

Citizen participation is a key component of the 2020 Action Plan and the 2020-2024 Five-Year Consolidated Plan.  A brief survey has been created which will allow the voices of our community to be heard.

Mayor Brown invites everyone who lives, works, or visits Wilkes-Barre for entertainment or recreational purposes, to take a few minutes to complete the online community survey linked below. Community participation is greatly appreciated and sharing the survey with friends and family is encouraged.

“The survey will provide an avenue in which residents and visitors can have their voices heard and help identify the city’s current and future community development needs” said Mayor Brown.

The survey can be accessed online at: https://forms.gle/vncmzGV7oB4ccPEq8 or through a link on the City’s website homepage.

Printed surveys are also available through the Office of Economic and Community Development, 3rd Floor, City Hall, 40 East Market Street, Wilkes-Barre, PA 18711.
