2020 City Calendars Are Being Delivered to Residents; Holiday Collection Schedule
The 2020 Calendars are making their way to city residents’ homes. Residents who have not received a calendar by mid-February can call the Mayor’s Helpline at 570.821.1111 to request one. Calendars will also be available in the Tax Office, 1st Floor, City Hall, 40 East Market Street, Wilkes-Barre, PA.
Residents can also view the calendar on the city's website at www.wilkes-barre.city under the Calendar tab on the homepage. Please note that the city calendar runs from February 2020 to January 2021, as many meeting dates are decided on each January.

A significant portion of the calendar is the schedule for holiday pickups. Due to increased recycling efforts by residents, the city is collecting more recyclables than in the past. The increased volume has affected the ability to collect garbage and recycling (and yard waste in some months) for two collection areas at once, on a timely schedule. To make holiday recycling pickup more efficient, the following collection schedule will be in effect:
