Kirby Park
Beautiful Kirby Park is one of the region’s most valued recreational resources. Donated to the City of Wilkes-Barre by the Kirby Family, the park welcomes hundreds of thousands each year.
- Location: 160 Market Street, located just across the Market Street Bridge from the Public Square (For GPS and online map services, please use 280 Market Street, Kingston, PA 18704 as an address for the park).
- Size: 52 acres
- Amenities: Tennis courts, a fitness trail, pond, walking paths, running track, softball fields, parking area, volleyball courts, pavilions, and playground.
- Events: City of Wilkes-Barre’s Annual Cherry Blossom Festival, Old Fashioned 4th of July Celebration, countless community events and Adult Softball Leagues

Coal Street
- Location: Coal Street; Heights

- Location: Along the west shore of the Susquehanna River between the Market Street and Veterans Memorial bridges.

- Events: Riverfest, PA Suskie Bassmasters Tournament
