Free Document Shredding Event for Wilkes-Barre City Residents
A free document shredding event will be held for the residents of Wilkes-Barre City on Saturday, October 30th and on Saturday, November 6th, between the hours of 8:00 AM and 12:00 PM, at the Wilkes-Barre City Department of Public Works Facility at 3 Conynham Ave., Wilkes-Barre, PA 18702.
Proof of Wilkes-Barre City residency is required (i.e. Driver’s License or Utility Bill). Residents will have the opportunity to have up to 3 boxes of their private documents properly destroyed at no cost. A 3-box limit will be strictly enforced. Boxes are not to exceed 10 x 12 x 15 inches.
Residents are asked to check papers for foreign objects that may cause damage to our shredding equipment. Examples include: rocks, batteries, silverware, computer cables, clothes and other miscellaneous items.
Junk mail does not need to be shredded and should be placed in household recycling bin to be recycled.
